MY GAME DEV JOUNEY

I'm not a great developer, in fact I hardly consider myself one, but I think it would be interesting to share my little story so that other aspirants do not make the same mistakes as me.

I started all this dream at 12/14 years old. But my young man I was very ambitious and """artistic""", I wanted to make GTA type video games or complex shooters with a story. Of course this was never done, because I only watched tutorials and copied the scripts. So the only thing I could do was slender games with bad parodies, or Five Nights At Freddy's. Unfortunately I don't have any screenshots of those old projects anymore, so I won't be able to make involuntary comedy.

But seriously, if you want to make video games:

When I was 15/16 years old, take a course in the basics of programming. And I decided to make a videogame, and I effectively started with a videogame in Game Maker, followed with a tutorial where I learned everything basic, and finished it. I don't have screenshots either, but it was about a ship dodging infinite obstacles. Months later I finished making a videogame without tutorials, this is Star shooter, the truth is I don't know how I finished that videogame, I did it with the free version of Game Maker 2 (I don't recommend it by the way) and thanks to it I had many limitations. But I was able to finish it and it helped me a lot, as it inspired me to continue.

Tired of GameMaker 2, I changed to godot because it was FREE, a partner shared me a book to learn about the engine, I did some practices to learn the use of the engine and what a surprise I get, I love this engine.

At present, I continue to learn and experiment, but I already have more taste for this and I do not plan to leave this at any time. I hope someday to live off this, but that's too fantastic to be true.

This videogame was more experimental for me, I was still with the learning with the Godot Engine, the result did not displease me but I felt that I did not draw so much potential.

A remake of my previous project with better control and more porwerups, my idea was to publish it in the playstore (I also wanted to make an export to IOS, but you need a macbook, I hate you apple :^) ), but for lack of money will stay in itch.io for the moment

This also left me satisfied with how I am, and I would like to give you more updates, but until I can think of an idea like this will stay
